Each instrument is unique. Every servicing, starting from the simple repairs to the most demanding restoration, has to be carefully planned.
The studio offers acoustic set-up, maintenance, repair and restoration services for bowed stringed instruments.
Francesco Piasentini has been employed for several years as a restorer, working on instruments of Modern Masters (Fagnola, Pareschi, Pollastri, Rocca, etc..) and on creations of Don Nicola Amati, Gasparo da Salò, Klotz family, Michele Deconet. Since 2015 He run his own Studio In Ponte San Nicolo’, Padova.
In restoration planning he makes use of advanced investigation techniques like X-ray MicroCT, 3D structured light scanners.
